The Author

I’m Josh King. I’ve been in the IT business long enough to be called a veteran of it, and most of that time has gone to enterprise networks — how they’re built, how they’re automated, and lately, how AI runs on top of them. I do that work at Cisco, at the intersection of networking, automation, and artificial intelligence.

The rest of my life is happily analog. I cook Japanese food with unreasonable seriousness — ramen above all — shoot traditional archery, smith metal, and disappear into fantasy novels. I write fantasy fiction of my own, too. Most of what I build, in either register, ends up documented in the catalogue; most of what I think ends up in the writing.

Before any of this I ran businesses of my own — Ryuzashi Ramen, Artisan Archery, Dietes Dragon Mill. All closed now. In print, though, nothing really fails; it just goes out of print. The full revision history appears below, as is proper.
